I'm using XNA 3.0, and am currently trying to make a character selection screen in the vein of Castle Crashers, and was wondering if anyone knew how to implement such an interface or if there are any tutorials that show how to do something similar. Thanks.

This is written in the example that you have 4 characters. You could create 4 images to show and a 'selection' image which is what you move when the player is selecting their player. You use state management and input to determine if you're at that screen and how to process the button presses but essentially you could have 'if (character1.isActive == true && Controller.Buttons.A.IsPressed())' then select that character and use it. It's essentially a basic menu, if you write a menu in 2D then you should be able to do that. Of course, this isn't completely accurate and will need some small tweaking.
