2D game background generation (like in crimsonland)

Hey how'd you get those resources? WinRAR won't open the PAQ file.

And yeah, looks like tiled 256*256 base textures, with 128*128 detail textures blended onto them.

You can open paq files with Game Archive UnPacker 0.6.0.2 PRO

I tried to blend detail textures, but their color really differs from base texture and it looks ugly. Maybe crimsonland corrects color/gamma?

Solved :) I just changed alpha and brightness of detail textures, thanks for help.

It's probably additive blending. glBlendFunc(GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL_ONE);

Means the detail texture can only darken the base texture.
