Where to Find Games and Developers

Sorry if this is a really dumb question...
I'm an internet marketer and would like to set up a new game site, for play online and for download. But I need to know more about where to get the games -- whether to go thru a joint venture with a game development company, or hire my own developers, or both? Right now I'm a total newbie at game development and would appreciate your advice.
What do you think I should do?

I think you should have been at E3 here in Los Angeles today. But you can start planning now to start attending every conference and industry event you can. You can get the books "Secrets of the Game Business" and "Introduction to Game Development." You can subscribe to the GamaDaily industry trade daily at gamasutra.com. You can subscribe to Game Developer magazine.
