Could anyone tell me where I can find some 3d models with skeletal animations or something that I can just use while I am developing my project. possibly some architecture and landscapes to. nothing impressive. just something more than basic geometry. Might be an idea if you were to specify a format e.g .3ds, .x or other. also do you want textures.. we need a bit more information.

sorry, I don't really care to what format it is in. .3ds to my knowledge is the easiest to convert to other formats. .blender is ok. but 3ds is pretty widely used. Thanks

Take a look at www.turbosquid.com, especially search for the qiwi man, he offers some rigged models for free. If you want to spend some money take a look at www.3drt.com, they offer some model packs for low budget (~$50-$150).
