When you copied the lib and include folders to the VS respective ones, did you copy the contents of each folder or dragged and dropped the folders as a whole?
wait what do you mean moved them to the vs???
Sorry, to the Visual C++ include and lib folders I meant.
Wait, I'm confused. (Sorry, Im a beginner) I downloaded the Allegro and extracted it to its own folder, then under options i set the include file path to the folder name its in, and it didnt work. When was I supposed to drag and drop or copy anything?
In that case, can you post the path that you entered?

If "it" refers to the directory where you extracted Allegro, then no.

If you extract Allegro to C:\bin\sdk\, you set the include path to be C:\bin\sdk\allegro\include\, and not C:\bin\sdk\ because #include <C:\bin\sdk\allegro\include\allegro.h> and not #include <C:\bin\sdk\allegro.h>. Make sense?
oh yeah, i did that. i really have no idea what could be causing this problem. maybe i downloaded the wrong one?
This one?
id downloaded the recent one, but im donwloading this now! thanks, this might work!
