DirectX Control Panel Vista

I have an old version of the DXSDK installed where there is the DirectX icon in control panel. However, when I double click it, nothing is executed. Has anyone had this problem? I'm thinking it is Vista security related but right-clicking does not give an option to run as administrator.

What about the shortcut that gets put in the start menu programs group? Are you able to Run As Administrator with that?

I don't see it in the start menu programs group. Is there another way to enable the debug runtime?

Try to run (as admin) "dxcpl.exe" in "utils" folder in your dx sdk instal folder.
