Hello, I was wondering some of the differences between these two degrees and some of the different careers that would be typical of each. Thanks!

Assuming you mean Computer Science vs Computer Engineering. It varies from school to school what exactly those mean but for me the short version is that CS is software and CE is hardware. In CS you design programs. In CE you design chips.

At my university computer science is mostly about the theory of programming and how to design better code. Computer Engineering requires a mix of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. We have to be able to do low level programming, work with uControllers, design, build, and interface circuits, and architect FPGA and ASIC designs.
Thanks guys. What are some careers for a Computer Engineering major? I suppose things like hardware related, embedded systems, integrated circuits stuff like that? I suppose CS would be a better supplement to game development then CE.
