Hi, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to graphics terminology, but hopefully someone could help me out here. I have two images (background and foreground). I'm splitting both images into grids so they both have X numbers of cells. What is the effect called where the foreground's colour/brightness/hue is changed to become similar to the background? It's almost like merging the two images. At least, I think there's an effect like that :D. Thanks!

Are you thinking of alpha compositing?

Hi Omega147,
Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that's what I need. However, the wikipedia link lead to me to:
http://illusions.hu/effectwiki/doku.php?id=list_of_blendings
(in the external links section). I think I can find what I'm looking for in there. At first glance it might be multiply blending, but I'll take a closer look at the others there. Thanks for the help!
