Hello All, I'm trying to decide on a class project to prepare. Here are some of the requirements: 1. 2D world with different heights 2. Simple column based water simulation 3. Fire by adjacency and extinguished by water 4. Different materials involved, that can or can't catch on fire and how quickly it spreads 5. Player can input on water/fire/materials 6. Might be a 3D world. Any help is appreciated.

With the fire and water properties, my first thought was to do a serious game where the player controlled an airplane and had to drop either water or a chemical fire retardant on trees to stop the fires from spreading. There could be houses, too, that you're trying to save for bonus points. If you wanted to go the extra mile, you could tie in a message relating to all the wildfires going on in California, either bringing awareness to the destruction of wilderness and the need for extra funding to secure the local environment, or you might go about informing the player on the necessity of practicing proper fire safety.
