Hi, does anyone know if the intel 4500 mhd(supports dx 10 according to intel) is capable enough for hobby directx 10 programming, let`s say if it is able to run dx 10 sdk samples with decent speed (10-20 fps)? And what is the state of dx 10 driver, is it not buggy as hell?

It can surely run less demanding applications, but if you want to be able to do performance-intensive effects then you should get something with a real GPU.
Check here for some information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA.
I have a laptop with an X3100 and it works fine, but for fill-rate intensive applications with more complex shaders it can't keep up at all.
Thanks for reply.
I don't know about the driver for this particular hardware but Intel integrated graphics drivers are notoriously bad. I'd stay away from any kind of Intel integrated graphics for 3D programming.
