Load bitmap wrapper

Does anyone have a nice load bitmap wrapper that places a bitmap onto a created surface and returns the pointer to the surface? The ddutil one, well I just cant get it to include into my project properly, so I cant use that one.

Maybe you should try to get ddutil working rather than recreating it... where are you having the problem?

I tried various things, and either undeclared headers in the ddutil cpp file or got unresolved symbols.
