Unity making games for wii??

hi.. i need to make a game for wii as a college project. as far as i searched and understood, i can make a game using flash, but it'll be 2d. for 3d i need to opt for something like torque or unity. it that right?? plus, wii is something very new to me. i wanna make a simple 3d game. if someone could point me towards some good learning material, it would be great. thank you..

The short answer is that you can't - only Nintendo-licensed developers with a strong track record can develop games for the Wii. Your best bet is to make it for PC using an engine which can also run on the Wii. You can also use the Wii controller on PC if I remember correctly.

So it will be similar to having a Wii game, but without it actually running on the Wii.

Latest Flash versions can also do 3D rendering, but programming a Flash game and programming a real C/C++ game using a game engine need a totally different skill level.

As for programming for Wii, I'm not sure if you can run flash directly, probably need to program an application using a Flash library for rendering. Anyway, as PolyVox said, it's not open for homebrew development. You need to register and get approved by Nintento. See http://www.warioworld.com/

Not sure why your uni is asking you to dev it on the Wii, but the only way it is possible for you to do this without a developers licence is using homebrew tools
