Hi I have no idea how to draw 3d stuff in front of 2d sprites and textured squares. I tried putting the 2d stuff's z value further back but they don't draw. for example, I load a texture onto a 2d square and draw it over the whole screen. Then I try draw a mesh or something and it doesn't show up. How can I choose to draw 3d in front of 2D? thanks, r_bewick

Try disabling z-writes while drawing the 2D stuff. If this is not an option you could always clear the z-buffer before you draw the 3D stuff.
I guess that could to the trick.
