DX8 transparency

I''m having a bit of a problem in DirectX 8 with textures. I used D3DXCreateTextureFromFileEx to make a texture from a BMP with a colorkey. But when I draw the texture with the D3DXSprite interface, if draws opaque black instead of transparent black for the transparent areas on the texture. - Bong

Are you sure your video card can handle colorkeying?
Ive tested my D3DXSprite wrapper on a multitude of video cards and it seems older cards such as the Intel i740 and voodoo3 display black instead of transparency Where-else TNT2, GeForce, and Voodoo4+ cards work ok. Download the wrapper on my site (beloe) and test it on your video card, if it works you can rip the code u need from the wrappers'' source code.
