Ok, this is kinda funny, depending if you've not expernienced this or have and are no longer worried about it. It all started with debugging and updating some old code, make it nice and use it internally. Well one of the escape keys was set to F12, be wary of this key in windows under a dev enviroment. We were debugging to find an error in releasing of DirectX and we using the F12 key to quite. Unbeknownst to us when you press f12 in debug mode, it creates an emergency break point (win nt) and cuts the program off, creates a msg box and you get a break point in the kernal. http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q130/6/67.asp Read up on this if you do dev in windows. It's good to know! -Scott Edited by - loworbit on January 16, 2002 5:10:31 PM
