Hello, I have been looking at Torque 3D game engine and am wondering is there any alternatives out there to this game engine that are lower in price but as powerful?? Or is torque the way to go if I want to create a retail game?? I am looking to build a 3d browser based game. Although at $1,000 I may just make the game in tx3d which is for xbox 360 instead as I can handle the $250 much better then the $1,000 to buy torque. Are they any alternatives out there??

There are Unity and C4. I have heard good things about both.
For a web-player, Unity is probably your best bet.

The unity Indie license looks like what I wourl need, although there are few missing functions that would of been nice to have like real time shadowing and stuff like that just to make the game look more pretty lol.

Any other suggestions for a low cost engine to build a browser based 3d game??

thanks all
