lstudio uses heightmaps to efficiently create the hills and curvatures in outdoor landscapes, but what about indoor environments? what''s the best way to do this taking into consideration the collision needs as well? thanks

Have you seen the demo? It uses BSP trees for indoor parts. You can make BSP only levels in Landscape Studio too.
