[SDL/C++] a quick question

hey guys, here's my related-do-SDL doubt supose I have a struct called sMine and within I have a SDL_Rect, like below: struct sMine{ (...) SDL_Rect noIdea; (...) }; Does have any chance of this (below) make sense and work sMine myOwn; SDL_Rect *pdummy; pdummy = &myOwn.noIdea; and with that I'll be able to acess the x and y values of noIdea with (*pdummy).x or (*pdummy).y ? It's just a curiosity that I got when reading about pointers...
