MultiMedia Timer & Scrolling Text

Hi all, I have made a scrolling banner custom panel using MDX. To achive smooth scrolling(it's very smooth) I've used a MMTimer to check for the last line on the screen. However, what is the best way to share this timer across more that one banner instance? Many thanks in advance

I've just realise that I'm stopping/starting the timer in my code(should have looked). If I use code within the custom panel to block the actions of the timer, no other running panels will be affected. Duh!!!
