Dynamic buffers question

For a Dynamic Index or Vertex Buffer, do i have to call a CreateVertexBuffer (or CreateIndexBuffer) before each time I lock and throw in new vertices? Or just set a maximum value and keep appending until it''s full and then lock with a discard?

Should be able to just lock...

Just curious - what are you doing? Perhaps you could dynamically change the data in a shader or with matrices??

Sorry - I seem to be on an anti-lock crusade...
