I am using Lua as the main environment for all game programming with my engine. In reference to this thread from a while back, I would like to readdress the issues that I have recently discovered. here also. The main thing I am curious about is how to organize in lua, things that are going to be constantly removed and created in a way such that the GC will be used best. there are a bunch of things in my engine that need to be managed in lua. game objects, lights, and cameras, etc. I think that an overlying state management system is somewhat needed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
