D3D11 - D3DX Math Functions

Recommended Posts

Was just wondering why they removed this neat feature for the D3D11? and if they plan on adding it later? Also , if I do want to use the math functions , can I just include "d3dx10math.h"? It wont create a conflict with the included D3D11 stuff?

Isn't the XNA Math limited to #C? .
Anyway , I don't use alot of math apart from Camera calculations , so the d3dxmath works well enough.

I'm just interested in why the removed it in the first place?

Don't let the name confuse you. Even though XNA is normally associated with XNA Game Studio for C#, XNA Math is a native library that you can (and should, it's d3dx10math evolved) use from C++.

Info on it http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee415571(VS.85).aspx
