SDL: Looking for tutorial

Hey all, It's been my first time using a Game Engine other than Multimedia Fusion 2 or 3D GameStudio, but I'd decided to go with SDL. I'm trying to make a Super Mario Bros game clone, however I have googled for hours and haven't come across any (good) platform game SDL tutorials. That's why I turned to you guys for help. Could someone point me in the right direction in regards to this? All I need is a tutorial with the basics, like the psychics and such (Walk/Run, Jump, etc) so I can be on my way and expand on tbat.\ Cheers, Coburn64.

Did you check out Lazy Foo's tutorials? If so what did you find the tutorials lacked. They cover animation and scrolling at the very least. Physics isn't often covered in API tutorials as physics can apply the same to different APIs. The important thing is understanding the math and there are plenty of tutorials on simple game physics that you can use to apply to SDL. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I did check out Lazy Foo's tutorials. They were okay, but I didn't quite know if they were the right things that I needed.

They did help me understand the basic concept, though.
