Hi there! I''m looking for tutorials covering the following topics: - Coronas (like the ones used by the Unreal Tournament engine) - Billboards - Lens Flares - Caustics (how to make them; I already know how to USE them ) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Corona''s are essentially rendered in the same way, as are lens flares. Although there is some extra code needed to make them look like in UT.
For corona''s, you have check the line-of-sight between the camera and the center of the corona for any intersections with the world''s geometry( for visibility), and render them without z-Buffer and always the same size...
There is a nice tutorial on lens flares in opengl, on the web... you can find a link to it in the www.opengl.org tutorial section.

I found caustics through OpenGL.org or something. Seek and ye shall find... www.google.com

I think there is one in the articles on gamedev too - they
are pretty easy to find.
