Realtime reflection / refraction

I''ve been searching unsucessfully for a reflection / refraction algorithm to calculate surface lighting / colour values for water given a 2d array of depth values and texture arrays for the water surface, floor. I''m just looking for something simple to be used with a fixed, top-down viewpoint. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, William
