Player speed

Anyone know the relation of these items: They don''t work as I expected. TRANSLATE_SPEED = 5.0f; MAX_TRANSLATE_SPEED = 50.0f; TRANSLATE_DRAG = 3.0f; Seems one side of a "zone" is 131070.0 units in length. A player is 300 units tall. How would I scale the speed of a player running? Or what is the relationship of the player scale vs speed. I realize I can make the player 1 unit tall and would take longer to run the length. Anyone work out some good numbers yet?
