Can anyone please tell me how do I allow selection of text in a CView? For example, I outputted the following line of text using TextOut(....) : "Hello!" in a CView. How do I allow the user to select the text "Hello"? Is this possible in a CView? Thanks!!!!!!! Well you will either have to use a CEditView or write your own handler for the mouse input and clipboard functionality.

When you write text to a CView normally it is only being represented as graphics and not as something that you can cut and paste. To cut and paste using strictly MFC you need to do it from a control of some kind.

I''m pretty sure that is correct but don''t take it to the bank. lol. It has been a while since I have really done anything useful in MFC.
