batching in d3d8

hello, everyone say to batch the polygons when we send it to the video card, but when i''m sending something like more than 200 polygons, my fps goes down, its like if d3d8 do something like comparing if vertex with if vertex, something exponential.... maybe I have to disable something, someone have an idea, thx!!! cyberg
