frustration and confusion.........

Well, i a newbie and i DID went through the Nehe tutorial up TILL the part with the texture comes in......everytime i compile a code with anything that says free (something something) i get a compile error that is an impliceted declaration or something....i tried download different version of the source for like MSVC++ and BORLAND and GLUT and they all comes out to the same compiler error, btw im using Dev C++ 4. 2 poor for MSVC++............can someone please!!!!!!! help me out here. i''m stuck at tut # 7! or is it 6? AHHH I DONT KNOW!!

free() is defined in stdlib.h. Are you including that file?

Worst case scenario: An alternate form of the free(whatever) command is...

delete whatever;

or... (if your whatever is an array)

delete [] whatever;

If you use malloc() to allocate the memory DO NOT use delete to free the memory. If you allocate with malloc() free with free(), if you allocate with new, then free with delete. First make sure that you''re including the correct header file, then
