vectors in a warped coordinate system

I've got 4 calibration points (x1,y1,x2,...). these are the edges of the coordinate system and theres a point in the system (xp,yp). The problem ist that the 4calibration points arent rectangle. Its like you have taken a picture of an coordinate system not from the front. i tried to unterstand this but i did not i am not a native english speaker as you might have guessed.
There are many variables which i dont know how to get them. I need a practical example or an other method...
The theres a method called "4 point callibration".

I'm sorry I haven't written the promised code yet. In the meantime, you can read this paper for one idea on how to solve the problem. Perhaps its references also contain something interesting, but I haven't checked.
