You going to need to ask specific questions to get help here.

If you are new to programming id start at the beginners section of the resources menu item at the top of this page.

If your new to OpenGL I would recommend googling for opengl tutorials. Nehe used to be great but its very out of date now, there are plenty of others though.

You can find some open source chess engines.
You can also find some with the graphical interface with GL. have a look at some Linux distro like Ubuntu and Kubuntu and you'll get an idea.

First of all, next time you post use a proper subject. "HELP ME" doesn't give any hint about what the actual topic is for others who might be looking for the same thing.

Secondly, you question is ridiculously general so here's an equally stupid answer: get a book on opengl.

There are many, many different aspects to creating games. You need to narrow down your question before we can help you. What programming language are you using? Do you want help with OpenGL itself, data structures, the game engine or the interface? Do you just want to know where to start?
What have you tried?
