Using Double-Precision Values in HLSL

I am trying to use double-precision types in HLSL and the program won't run. It won't crash, but it won't render, unless I set all the doubles back to floats. Any ideas on how to remedy this? I have a 9800 GTX btw... Thanks!

The 9800 GTX doesn't have any double precision hardware, I'm afraid. Plus you need to be using SM5.0 (DX11).
