What kind of a question is that? There is no such thing as "the best image format" for OpenGL.All a file format is is just a bunch of numbers.That''s all.It''s how they''re stored in file and what compression you use that makes these file formats differ from one another.

So I guess the best "file format" to use is the one you that you can easily read.Use a BMP or a TGA if you like since that''s what most people use mostly around here
