model flickering

I''ve just recently created code to load a 3ds model. The problem comes when I load a model that consist of several individual objects. When i move the model around the screen, I get flickering around some spots where the objects overlap each other. Anyone know how to prevent this? Thanks

That''s a depth buffer (z-buffer) problem. The best thing to do would be to not have your polygons intersecting in the first place. However, in your situation I would try moving the near clipping plane of your camera as close to the models as you can. That will give you the most accuracy and should take care of a lot of the flickering.
