Hello Game Dev Forum
I am 16 years old, and am living in Denver Colorado area. I began programming when I was around the age of 13/14. I have read 3 or 4 books on the c++ language itself, and have watch a few videos on computer science: http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Electrical-Engineering-and-Computer-Science/6-00Fall-2008/LectureVideos/index.htm. Although I keep trying to acquire knowledge the aw-inspiring task of creating a game engine is still in a complete shadow. I wish to know more about creating games. That is why I am here. Creating games is what I aspire to do. Where to begin is what I am unsure of, So I come here giving you a introduction of myself, and looking for more knowledge.

This sure sounds like either a For Beginners or Breaking In question to me (not a lounge chat).
Austin, first you have to decide which game industry job interests you most.
Read these:

THEN, when you've started to narrow down your thinking, find the appropriate forum here on GameDev and ask a narrower question.
The more focused the question, the more focused the answer.
It sounds like you're interested in programming, from what you said -- so I think this probably belongs in For Beginners. But in case you're interested in working in the game industry, I'm moving it from the Lounge to Breaking In. For now.
These should also help get you on your feet:
For Beginners
Articles and Resources
Hate to say it, but getting mentored isn't probably best, I'd take a look at the "Articles and Resources" section of the site (I have even been known to do that from time to time when I need help or inspiration, it's very handy). And I should say that for 16, I really like the way you're going at this. I remember when I first joined this forum, my attitude was... sub-par to say the least. :D Stay positive, stay focused, and hell... if you need any help, don't be afraid to ask around. The "For Beginners" section of the forum is your Mecca when you are absolutely stumped and confused.
