Studio Monitors Query

Hey there, I've recently purchased some studio monitors (http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/alesis-monitor-one-mk2/2489), on a pretty tight budget, as a Christmas gift from my parents. It's the first time I've been dealing with purchasing studio monitors and I've naively not considered other equipment I'll need to actually connect them to my PC and power them, as they're passive rather than active monitors. Would anyone be able to give me any recommendations and solutions as to what I need to purchase alongside the monitors to set them up correctly? Any advice would be great, as it will be something to learn from when dealing with pro-audio for me. Cheers, Andy.W

I own the same monitors and I'm very satisfied with them. You of course need good amplifier to power them and there are many good ones....
It is probably the best to use amplifier from same manufacturer, so one of Alesis amps would be good choice for you. I plan to buy this one http://www.alesis.com/ra150 for me next year.

Nowadays I use one old hifi Technics amplifier and it is still good combination.

Hey there,

Thanks very much for the advice. It's getting 10/10 in quite a few reviews I've read and it's very affordable too.
