I'm trying to compile the sample source code of the DxViewer. But after the compile, when I try to run the application, it spits an error message that it couldn't find the msvcr90d.dll file. But it exists in the visual studio9 directory. How can I fix this problem?

I've tried that. And not it keeps saying it can't find any manifest. How do I setup my project to use the manifest that came with the msvcr90d.dll?

The VC debug runtimes SxS assembly should have been installed on your system when you installed MSVS, so this is a little strange.

What runtime assembly is your application dependent on, as defined in its manifest? (You can see the manifest VC generates for your application by looking at the "(your application).exe.embed.manifest" file generated when building your project.)

Do you have any folders for the "Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT" assembly in your %SystemDrive%\Windows\WinSxS folder? If so, is there one that matches the exact version specified in your application's manifest?

What happens if you try a release build instead?

What happens if you turn off incremental linking, in the linker options?

Failing that, have you tried copying the DLL to the specific folder your .exe resides in?
