why backbuffer's left side present at screen's left side.

i created a windowed mode d3d device with resolution(1280 X 1024) greater then desktop resolution(1024 X 768). everything is ok. then i changed the device's resolution twice.(1280X1024 -> 1024X768 ->1280X1024) now, the problem appear. the problem the quad which i draw at screen space, should at the backbuffer's left edge, now ,is presented at desktop's left edge. someone can help me ?

despite what the windows size is DirectX is always going to draw the full screen within it, it just scales to match the size of the window.

curious thought, what are you trying to accomplish or test? your theory one might say?
