Interesting piece in the Guardian by Charlie Brooker. The description of a non-gamer's attempt to play GTAIV is particularly well-observerd. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2009/dec/11/charlie-brooker-i-love-videogames

His Gameswipe TV programme is worth a watch if you can track it down. I believe it was repeated recently but it's no longer on iPlayer, sadly.

Charlie Brooker and Yatzee are the Batman and Robins of video game reviews. Which is which is up to your imagination!

Everything is better with Metal.

Gameswipe is being repeated again tomorrow at 11.30pm on BBC Four, so it'll be back on iPlayer for a while at least.

He used to write for PC Zone before he started doing TV work. It's great to see him doing more game-related stuff recently. Screenwipe, Newswipe and his Guardian column are unmissable.
My opinion is a recombination and regurgitation of the opinions of those around me. I bring nothing new to the table, and as such, can be safely ignored.[ Useful things - Firefox | GLee | Boost | DevIL ]
Gameswipe is excellent, and I'm glad Newswipe has been picked up for a second season - it seemed awfully touch and go after the excellent pilot.
I just hope we eventually get to see the second series of Nathan Barley that Charlie Brooker and Chris Morris have been muttering about for a few years.
