Blitting onto a surface using a pattern.

Ok, if i have a bitmap representing a piece of a pattern and load this into a surface, how do I then fill another surface with this texture, so that it repeats itself unti the destination surface is filled. I''m looking for a way to do this automatically with DirectDraw, (not implement it manually) Anyone know?
