you should be alright with the athlon. I know I''m staying with pentium just based on some of the stories I''ve heard about athlon from friends who got one. IMHO Athlon hasn''t quite proven itself LIKE intel has. I like the competition though, and I''m sure they will prove themself.

Never underestimante the power of stupid people in large groups.

Personally I''ve had more pentium probs then I''ve ever had with any AMD chip. I''m not sure what kind of budget youre working with but I would recommend that you buy the chip mb and fan seperate I''ve had probs with SiS chipset I would go epox or asus you can pick up a good epox board for about 80-100 bucks and the 8kta line has a pretty good sound card built in not sure what you have for sound already but if its like a SB pci 128 the built in is better . Also with a 1.2 tbird on pricewatch is going for 87 so about 95 bucks with shipping and then the fan and heat sink are up to you you can pick a good one up that will last you awhile for about 20-30 I would look at Globalwin FOP-32 or the 38 thats just my opinion though hope everything goes well for ya!!

One quick note forgot to mention with the Geforce cards I''ve noticed you want at least 256 ram pretty sure you can get away with cheap ram but it will make a big diff on the system in terms of when you play like UT it wont cache nearly as long just thought I would throw that in
