Milkshape models?
MS3D will import everything there I think. There are plenty of other sites too - http://www.polygone.com is a good one I think.
Also, I''m trying to build a collection here, so if anyone has some good ones to contribute, then please post from the models page.

Could someone please tell me what a Half-Life smd model
is?
I have looked in the halflife folders and the pak files,
but all model files are mdl.

You have to decompile the MDL file to get the studio model (SMD) files. Milkshape 3D does this and you can then import the SMDs which contain bone animation information.
