Loading and Rendering Skinned Mesh

After u load a skinned mesh from the x files, what''s the step by step instruction to render it ?? I''ve tried it using the code on Skinned Mesh example on the SDK to render, but that doesn''t work ?? I''ve got no mesh showed on the screen , the samples sucks coz it got no comment on it.. btw here''s another question, Is it possible to animate skinned mesh just by using transformation on the bones, just like on 3Ds ?? or do I have to calculate all the vertex of the surface all over again ?? Can somebody give me at least the idea on what must i do ?? I know I''ve been posting lots of question, since I a newbiee.. but they helped a lot.. Thanks to those who give their precious time to help others especially me..

If you havent, I would look at the Pick example in the SDK, its a more simple loading - displaying of a .x file. I havent looked at the skinned mesh code myself though.
