Hi everyone! I wanted to briefly present a project I'm working on and announce the release of our first tech preview: Oasis Open Outcast should become a total conversion for Crysis Wars and a free unofficial successor of the Action-Adventure Outcast (by Appeal). One disadvantage of this approach is the loss of portability but we are trying to create a game that is nearly comparable both in gameplay and in graphics with commercial titles and all this in a limited amount of time. Although it's only a mod we're planning to extend the engine with a proper Quest/Dialogue system and improved NPC interaction using the SDK provided by Crytek. Oasis is our first milestone featuring custom gamemedia, quests and voice acting. If you want to try Oasis you don't even need Crysis Wars (not even for development)! Everything works with the free Trial version as explained in the oOC Forum: http://www.openoutcast.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=722 If you are still unsure whether it pays off to download Crysis Wars Trial take a look at the screenshots at http://www.openoutcast.org/gallery_dyn.php?name=Oasis :) The next step in technical development would be programming custom Flow Graphs (C++), extending NPC behaviour (LUA/C++) and tweaking/creating shaders ... check our forums for more details on vacant jobs. Thanks for your attention and have a nice day! [Edited by - s87 on February 11, 2010 12:55:48 AM]
