-Bathysphere Discover and collect new creatures in the darkest depths of the ocean. Players control the bathysphere vessel and a drop net. Both are attached to a ship topside by long cables so the controls are a bit like the claw games/ball on a string. Collect creatures to earn cash, the larger, more rare a creature is the more its capture is worth. The creatures are out for blood though so you’d be wise to capture them before they get you. Each dive has a long timer. The deeper a dive is the more it cost. Training Dive Level – Lite dive with many small harmless creatures Level 1 though 3 – deep sea floor/slope - Each level gets deeper, darker, and has big but fewer creatures. Level 4 – deep sea crack , vertical level Level 5 through 8 - deep sea floor/slope Level 9 – deep sea crack , vertical level with hydrothermal vent gas bubbles(deadly) Theme: The dark alien world of deep sea creatures. For teens to adult guys Platform: Web, Console( would work well with 2 analog pads) trying to work though a design using game maker to prototype game maker demo WIP http://www.paul3dswell.com/bathysphere.7z learning game maker, yea! I wouldn't say the demo shows anyhitng more then that I'm jsut getting to know game maker:) art concepts + a bathysphere model WIP

Hey,

Looks like a really nice and clean concept for a game.

Ever though about adding a few different bits in there that cost a bit of money but help the player out? Like harpoons to kill dangerous fish or bait to lure them in?

Keep up the good work!

I think your right about the need to add some player leveling features.
different weapons, upgrades to weapons, armor & pressure resistance would add some appeal.

I think you should have it so that the player can upgrade key sections of the ship. Give the player a point to spend every time they reach an achievement (a certain amount of money, or find something rare)

Hull - By spending a point on the hull you can dive deeper (pressure doesn't affect ship as much) and once you have spent three points you get armored line (which stops fishing cutting your line to the ship) and at five points you get something else like heat proof armor (for those vents you were talking about)

Oxygen Tank - By spending a point on the oxygen tank you can dive longer because you have more oxygen, spend three points and you get cheaper oxygen (less money spent to fill up) and five might get you recyclable oxygen which means you now don't have to pay to fill up!

Weapon - First point gets you a harpoon and for every point you spend gets you another harpoon, at five you can get a harpoon on a string which means you never run out unless a fish snaps the line.

Propulsion - Every point spent makes your ship faster and maybe at five you can have a button that sends you shooting to the surface (by way of super propulsion or maybe an inflatable orange thing) Because nothing is more dangerous then running out of air underwater.

Net - Every point you spend on the net makes it shoot out faster and makes it stronger, maybe at five points it becomes electrified so you instantly kill the fish so there is no more problems with it.

Just some ideas. Hope they help!
