GdkRadiant texture problem

I want create a bsp file,so I first use GdkRadiant to create a '.map' format file and then use Q3map2 to convert to '.bsp'. When I use a texture onto a box, I must select the Quake3's textures.How can I use textures in my own folders?? When I use Q3map2 to convert bsp,I find a '.prt' file and a '.srf' file appear which contains textures filename information... where are my textures files...
