Texture Format

I was wondering what would be the best texture format to use and what size should the texture be. I have noticed that the examples all use the PCX format but the engine supports several.

If you use PR3 and 3DSMAX or LW then I would recommend Jpeg, because you can use the same format in both applications.

However JPG is lossy. If you need a lossless format and don't mind 256 color images use PCX. Also PCX is fast to decode and supported by all of the paint applications I've seen.
