Converting CG program to multipass technique?

Hi I'm working on a a vertex and fragment shader combo at the moment and I'm starting to add a lot of stuff to it (edge detection, blending). The problem is I'm also trying to program it to be usable on my laptop which is quite limited with the amount of functions it can handle on the fragment shader (a max of 80 I think) Is there an easy was to convert a CG program to a mulitipass technique?
