OpenGL Problem with vertex from an imported Collada file

Hi all: I'm trying to load collada files with Assimp. My loader works, but the problem is that the vertex's coordinates in 3dsMax aren't the same that the vertex's coordinates in my app. I have used inches for units while exporting for 3dsMax, but in the Collada file, units are set to "meter = 0.0254" I'm missing something, or it's right? BTW, i'm using OpenGL, but i think this doesn't matter at all. Thanks
