Let's say this code, for whatever reason, caused an error: d3d->CreateDevice(Parameters here); Do people usually check for errors like this? if (FAILED(d3d->CreateDevice(Parameters here))) ::MessageBox(hWnd, L"Creating a device failed", L"ERROR", NULL); Or is there a more efficient way? Also, since most of the functions seem to return an HRESULT value, what is this data type? And what would i do with this return value? Obviously i should create an HRESULT variable and use it to store the return value, but what am i supposed to do with this aquired information? Thanks :)
